Master Mods are nominated by Board members on an annual basis, the selection criteria is as follows:
A Master Mod is well-respected in the community; he or she has a commitment to the ideals of preservation and the tenets of the Houston Mod Mission statement; and he or she has the ability, as well as the desire, to strengthen the organization and serve the community with their expertise and outreach.
Master Mods are considered senior members in the organization, but are not Board members. Master Mods do not carry the corporate responsibility nor power-of-vote of a Board member, but rather, may advise the Board when requested to provide counsel. The level of active involvement is the prerogative of the Master Mod member. The term of a Master Mod lasts two years.
